We are looking for unpublished Flash Fiction that runs less than 1,000 words. We have a special place in our hearts for the 400-700 word range (most flash fiction runs between 300 and 1,000 words). We should discover something brief and intimate in a very short space. Choose your words carefully. You’re using so few.
Submit your well-written, error and virus free story to editorff@gmail.com as a Word or Rich Text Format document, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier New. Please no .pdf files or graphics. Include name and word count.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please inform us immediately if your work has been accepted somewhere else for publication.
Multiple submissions are accepted; however, please send no more than three pieces per submission.
We are not interested in works previously published in online magazines.
We usually assume First North American Rights to work published in our annual, after which all rights revert to the author.
